Gianluigi Buffon was born on January 28, 1978 in Carrara, Italy. He is a soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Juventus FC. Buffon is also the main goalkeeper in the national soccer team of Italy. He joined Juventus from Parma in 2001. His best achievement was when he drove Italy won the World Cup in 2006. To date, Buffon is often referred to as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Awards he has received one of which is the title of Best Goalkeeper in Serie A that he managed to achieve eight times.

Buffon start his professional career in 2005 with Parma and played for the club for six seasons. In 2001, he joined Juventus and still playing at the club until now.

Because of his great abilities, Buffon remains the Italian national team goalkeeper since 1997. He has 138 caps for his country.
