Kuzmanovic Durrenast start to his junior career, Young Boys and FC Basel. He later started his senior career at FC Basel in 2005 and played for the club for two seasons. He had played for Fiorentina in the 2007-2009 season before joining VfB Stuttgart in 2009.

Kuzmanovic joined F.C. Internazionale Milano at the end of the transfer window of 2012/2013 season closing.
