Filipe Luís Kasmirski was born on August 9, 1985 in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil. He is a soccer player who plays as a left defender for Chelsea in the Premier League.

Luís Filipe started his soccer career at Figueirense in 2003 and played for the club for two seasons. In 2005-2008, he played for Rentistas. However, Luis was loaned to Real Madrid B in 2005-2006, and Deportivo La Coruña in the 2006-2008 season.

In the 2008-2010 season, Luis played for Deportivo La Coruña. After playing for two seasons in La Coruna, he then moved to Atlético Madrid in 2010 and played for the club for 4 seasons. With Atletico, Luis won the Spanish La Liga 2013/2014 season. In July 2014, Luis Felipe officially moved to Chelsea with a contract duration of three years.
