Branislav Ivanović was born on February 22, 1984 in Sremska Mitrovica, SFR Yugoslavia. He is a soccer player who plays as a defender. He currently plays for Chelsea in the Premier League and the national team of Serbia.

Ivanovic started his soccer career in Remont in 2001 and played for the club for one season. In 2002, he then moved to Srem and played for one season as well. In the 2003-2006 season, Ivanovic played for OFK Beograd.

In 2006, Ivanovic decided to move to the Russian League and played for Lokomotiv Moscow. After played in the Russian League for two seasons, he then moved to Chelsea in the Premier League in 2008. In the national team of Serbia, Ivanovic has 67 caps and scored 7 goals.
