Petr Čech was born on May 20, 1982 in Plzeň, Czechoslovakia. He is a professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Chelsea and the Czech Republic national team.

Cech started his soccer career at FK Chmel Blšany in 1999 and played for two seasons with the club. In the 2001-2002 season, he played for Sparta Prague. A year later, Cech moved to Ligue 1 France and played for Rennes in the 2002-2004 season.

In 2004, Cech moved to a Premier League club, Chelsea. He has won two Premier League titles and a Champions League title with the London club.

Cech is the record holder without conceding 100 times in 180 appearances in the Premier League. Čech playing for the Czech Republic national team since 2002, and incorporated in the Czech Republic squad at the finals of the FIFA World Cup 2006, Euro 2008 and Euro 2012.

Until May 2012, Čech has recorded 89 appearances for the Czech Republic national team.
