Aleksandar Kolarov was born on 10 November 1985 in Belgrade, Serbia. He is a soccer player who plays as a left defender for Manchester City and the Serbian national team. He has the nickname "Roberto Carlos of the Balkans" because of his ability in a free kick off the left foot extremely hard and accurate as Roberto Carlos.

In January 2004, Kolarov started his professional soccer career in Čukarički, one of the soccer clubs in Serbia-Montenegro League at the time. Signed a three-year contract, he spent the 2003-04 season at the junior club. In the summer of 2004, he was promoted to the first team. Kolarov played 27 times in the league, he was able to give a good impression, but not enough to help the club avoid relegation.

In the 2006-2007 season, Kolarov played for OFK Beograd, he then moved to SS Lazio in the Italian Serie A in 2007. After playing in Serie A for three seasons, Kolarov then move to Manchester City on July 24, 2010.
