Jonathan Grant "Jonny" Evans was born on January 3, 1988 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He is a soccer player who plays as a defender for Manchester United.
Evans began his soccer career in Greenisland FC, where he was discovered by a Manchester United's talent scout.
He progressed through Manchester United's football Academy to play in a summer tour of 2006. He then continued his career as a player on loan to Royal Antwerp and Sunderland for total three seasons. He made his debut at Manchester United as the first team in the 2007-08 League Cup, and became a regular in the team squad next season.
