Daniel Munthe Agger was born on December 12, 1984 in Hvidovre, Denmark. He is a soccer player who plays as a central defender for Liverpool. His professional career started in Denmark for Brondby FC in July 2004 where he won the "Danish Superliga".

In the January 2006 transfer window, Agger signed a contract with Liverpool. In Liverpool and in the Danish national team, Agger played as a central defender. Known as a tough player, good in taking a position, and powered by an excess in his left leg. Agger was projected as the future of Liverpool defender.

His national team debut came in June 2005 when a friendly match against Finland. He scored his first goal for the Danish national team at the 2006 World Cup qualifiers to face Georgia. Since his debut, Agger has played 18 times with the score 2 goals for Denmark.
