José Martín Cáceres Silva was born on April 7, 1987 in Montevideo, Uruguay. He is a soccer player playing as a defender for Juventus FC.

Caceres started his professional soccer career for Difensor in 2006-2007. In the 2007-2008 season, he moved to Villarreal, but was loaned to Recreativo in musimm same. In the 2008-2011 season, Caceres moved to Spanish giants Barcelona. While at Barcelona, he was also loaned out to two clubs, Juventus (2009-2010) and Sevilla (2010-2011).

In the 2011-2012 season, Caceres get a permanent contract at Sevilla. He finally officially joined Juventus in 2012 and is still playing for the club until now. Caceres is a Uruguayan national team players and has 51 caps for his country.
