Adil Rami was born on December 27, 1985 in Bastia, France. He is a soccer player who plays as a defender for AC Milan in Italian Serie A.

Rami started his soccer career for an amateur club Étoile Fréjus Saint-Raphaël, then known as ES Fréjus. He spent three seasons at the club playing in the Championnat de France, the fourth division of French football because he only played soccer as a hobby. In 2006, Rami joined the Ligue 1 club Lille OSC. Rami began his professional debut in May 2007. He was nicknamed "Shrek" by teammates and Lille supporters. In January 2011, Rami joined the Spanish club, Valencia, approved a four-year contract.

After he had been playing for two seasons with Valencia, Rami joined AC Milan in 2014. Although he is a descendant of Morocco, Rami is a French soccer player national team.
