Thibaut Nicolas Marc Courtois was born on May 11, 1992 in Bree, Belgium. He is a soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Chelsea and the Belgium national team.

Courtois previously played for Racing Genk. He became one of the key players when Racing Genk won the Belgian Pro League 2010-11 season. After spending two seasons with Racing Genk, Courtois joined Chelsea in July 2011 which was then loaned out to Atletico Madrid for three season. He successfully won the UEFA Europa League 2011/12 , and La Liga 2013/14 season with Atletico Madrid.
