Xavier "Xavi" Hernández i Creus was born on January 25, 1980 in Barcelona, Spain. He is a Spanish soccer player who plays as a midfielder for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team.

Xavi started his soccer career through the Barcelona youth academy, La Masia, at the age of 11. He first made ​​his debut for Barcelona against Mallorca on August 18, 1998. Since then he has played 673 games, scored 82 goals and made more than 180 assists for more than 50 players.
