Ivan Rakitic was born on March 10, 1988 in Möhlin, Switzerland. He is a football player who plays as a midfielder for Barcelona and the Croatian national team.

Ivan started his soccer career with the Swiss football club, Basel. He then moved to Schalke 04 in 2007 after playing for four years for the Bundesliga team, Ivan moved to Sevilla in 2011. His brilliant appearance made Barcelona keen to get Ivan. Eventually, Ivan officially move to the Catalan club in 2014.

Ivan played for the Swiss U-21 national team in 2006-2007. However, after that, he chose to play for the Croatian national team until now.
