Martín Montoya Torralbo born on 14 April 1991 in Gava, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He is a Spanish professional soccer player who plays as a defender for FC Barcelona.

Montoya started playing soccer for his hometown club CF Gavà. He then moved to FC Barcelona soccer academy, La Masia, at the age of 8 years. He was promoted to the Barcelona B team in 2009.

Montoya spent most of the 2011-12 season in the team Barcelona B. He appeared for the first team in the Copa del Rey 2011-12 season on January 12, 2012, in a 2-1 away win against CA Osasuna (6-1 aggregate). Because of Daniel Alves' injury, Montoya played in the final of the domestic cup for 90 minutes in a 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.
