Gerard Piqué i Bernabeu was born on February 2, 1987 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He is a football player who plays as a defender for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team.

Pique started his soccer career at Barcelona B since July 1, 2004. He then played for Manchester United in 2004-2008 season. The defender was loaned out to Real Zaragoza in 2006-2007 season. Pique played for the Spanish national team U-17, U-19, and U-21. He also became one of the players who brought Spain to become champion in the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
