Iker Casillas Fernández was born on May 20, 1981 in Móstoles, Madrid, Spain. He is a soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper. Iker brilliant appearance makes him the first choice goalkeeper of Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. He also serves as team captain of Real Madrid and the Spanish national team.

Casillas started his career at Real Madrid football club, and joined at the age of 8 years. He was also part of the Spanish youth national team that won UEFA-CAF Meridian Cup and FIFA Youth World Cup in 1999.

In La Liga season 1999/2000, Casillas started playing for Real Madrid. He stated that he would retire one day as a Real Madrid player and will be directly involved in the management of Real Madrid. He is a goalkeeper who won a gold glove award at the World Cup 2010.
