Andrés Iniesta Luján was born on May 11, 1984 in Fuentealbilla, Spain. He is a Spanish soccer who plays as a midfielder in FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team.

Iniesta started his soccer career through the Barcelona youth academy, La Masia. He made his first-team debut in 2002, at age 18 he began playing regularly during the 2004-05 season, and has since become the primary choice.

He was part of the success of Barcelona in 2009, the only season in which the club has achieved six titles in a single season. He is regarded as one of the biggest quarterback of all time, and one of the best players of his generation.
