Jordan Brian Henderson was born on June 17, 1990 in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England. He is a soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Liverpool and the England national team.

In January 2009, Henderson joined Coventry City on loan. He made his debut with Coventry when they beat Derby County 2-1. On February 9, 2009, Coventry announced that Henderson loan would be extended until the end of the 2008-09 season.

In the 2009-10 season, Henderson joined the senior team Sunderland and made several appearances in the Premier League. He scored his first senior goal against Birmingham City in the 3rd round of the League Cup. Then, he scored his first goal in the Premier League again when against Manchester City on December 19, 2009.

On June 8, 2011, Sunderland consented to the transfer of Henderson to Liverpool with an undisclosed fee, but estimated to be around £ 16 million. On July 8, 2011, he got back number 14 replaces Milan Jovanović.
