David de Gea Quintana was born on November 7, 1990 in Madrid, Spain. He is a soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Manchester United. Born in Madrid, he began his career at age 10 with Atletico Madrid and rose through the club's academy system before making his senior debut in 2009. After becoming the first choice goalkeeper of Atletico Madrid, he helped the team won the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup.
Then he joined Manchester United in June 2011. He was also the captain when he played for Spain U-21 national team.
