Philippe Mexes was born on March 30, 1982 in Toulouse, France. He is a soccer player who plays as a central defender for AC Milan and the French national team.

Mexes start of his junior career at Auxerre at the age of 12, he began training at the junior team Bastille, where he soon gained a position as a key player in the junior squad and captained the team to many championships.

In 1999, Mexes professional soccer career began with Auxerre and played for the club for five seasons. He then moved to AS Roma in 2004 and played for the Italian capital club for seven seasons. Mexes then joined AC Milan on 10 May 2011.

Mexes has 29 caps for France national team and scored one goal for his country.
